Pastor's Perspective
Church Family,
I am thankful for the opportunity to write to you today from a place of freedom. I hope each of you has taken time to celebrate the amazing freedom we have in Christ—no longer striving in our own strength to attain right standing with God, but resting in the completed work of Jesus on the cross.
How then shall we live?
After the cannons and cheers of July 1776 quieted, our founding fathers gathered in a room, asking themselves this very question. In time, a new identity was embraced, and a fresh vision for the days ahead was established through our nation’s Constitution.
As born-again Christians, our future is bright because of our eternal hope. In Galatians 5:16–26, we are reminded of how this new life in Christ should look. The battle between the flesh and the Spirit is real, but the same Spirit who has sealed us for the day of redemption is the One who leads us into all truth. The Holy Spirit is the power of God, and He is able to work wonders in our lives. It is His miraculous work that causes any and all fruit to abound in you and me.
Blessings,
Dawson

This Sunday, the youth will be leading many of the ministries of our church. These young people are a great gift to our body and community. Please be in prayer for them as they step out and lead us all to the throne of grace this Sunday morning!
Father’s Day is this Sunday. The youth have something special planned for every dad!
