Elder’s Perspective
Hello on this special day,
I hope all is well today as you take the Church out into the worldin your relationships and responsibilities. You are doing a great job trusting in your Heavenly Father in the hard things this week and giving Him the Glory in the good things – day by day.
There was a wonderful group Wednesday night that was thankful to pray over our short-term mission team that left for Philadelphia on Thursday morning. Stay in prayer for Pastor Marv and this team from CCF. Pray the Holy Spirit will fill them for this work – reaching the lost and encouraging the full-time servants at Calvary Chapel Kensington and the Rock Ministries. Pray our brothers and sisters from CCF will be blessed by our Father for committing to this work and greatly inspired by the Holy Spirt through this work. They plan to be back Sunday evening. May all we do glorify Him.
Plan to come to CCF’s building at 9 am on this Resurrection Sunday. Come for a time of prayer for the morning’s Worship, each other, and the new week’s work around CCF. You are most welcome in the prayer room and your silent and open prayer will strengthen the body.
Plan to be in the Sanctuary at 10 am this Sunday. Pastor Marv has led us through the book of Revelation in a wonderful way – a way that has increased our knowledge of who our Heavenly Father is, and how He acts in our future. Last Sunday’s sermon is a message of truth and wrapped up his teachings in complete way. Our new knowledge from the teachings has and will help our heart and our desire to line up in greater obedience to theRisen Lord. Remember – all Pastor Marv’s teachings are archived on the Church App for your benefit and our Father’s Glory.
We will now begin a study thought the book of Acts on Sunday mornings from the pulpit. We will see again who our Father is and how He acts. We will also see the amazing story of the birth of the Church, and its spread to the ends of the earth. This spreading is an ongoing work that we are a part of today. Acts will teach us about the Holy Spirit and the importance of the Spirit in our lives. Remember, our theme for the year at CCF is dependance on the Holy Spirit. A timely study ahead for us as a body! So, prepare your mind and heart for Acts Chapter 1 on Sunday morning. This book is a connecting book – from the Gospels to the Epistles. May it connect us.
It will be a blessing to gather with you to Worship this Sunday. Take care with all you do today.
