Pastor’s Perspective: Tears
Dear Calvary Family,
The study for this Sunday is full of hope and encouragement to all believers who travel the difficult journey through this sin filled world. The prophecy in Revelation 21 speaks of our eternal home given to us after our 1000-year reign with Christ on this earth. The first personal promise God makes to us concerning this new home is this: “and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain…”. Isn’t it amazing that God would address our deepest pain right up front, O such love and grace!
This entire Revelation study has stirred an awakening for many of us, a desire to be prepared as a bride for her wedding. As we discovered in chapter 19, the invitations for the marriage supper of the Lamb are already being sent, have you responded?
Please continue to cover the April 25-28 mission trip to Kensington, PA. 10 have signed up so far.
Next week, Monday – Wed noon, I will be attending a Sr Pastor’s retreat at Eagle Eyrie in Lynchburg. Around 30 of us from VA and NC will gather for fellowship, prayer, and time around the table. Pray for much encouragement for each pastor, including myself.
We have a baptism on the schedule for Sunday AM, May 19th. If you would like to be baptized, please speak with myself or one of the leaders. Baptisms are special times of renewal for all of us, and a tremendous step of faith for those being baptized.
VBS volunteers are signing up, don’t miss out! We have 38 so far and are praying for 50+ leaders, helpers, teachers, and decorators.
See you on Sunday!
