A Time to Restore
Dear Calvary Family,
Thank you to all who are serving this week at VBS! It has once again been a tremendous week of discipleship, teamwork, and fun—not only for the children, but also for the many leaders and assistants. Please join together in prayer for a strong finish through Saturday night, and for a joyful picnic lunch and celebration after church on Sunday.
Also this Sunday, we will begin a study through the book of Nehemiah. The old city of Jerusalem was in sad disarray—its protective wall broken down, and the glory days of the past long gone. This book will teach us lasting lessons about the willingness to begin and the courage to finish our ministry for God.
“Let us arise and build” is the cry throughout the first half of the book. But as we’ll see, before any daunting task is begun, it’s best to bathe it in prayer and count the cost.
When God calls us to restore or rebuild, it’s important to heed the call—future blessings for many may be at stake.
Is there a pile of rubble in your life that God wants to restore? Is there a new work of God ready to rise up out of the ashes? It may all start with asking a simple question.
See you at VBS or at the Sunday wrap-up. It’s good to be back—thank you to all who served in my place!

Glad your back. I've been praying for you and Sharri. I sure wish I could enter in with the Bible school and the picnic on Sunday. I watch the service every Sunday but there's nothing like being there. Love you and CCF so much.
