NEW coming this fall! Training Disciples for Christ Homeschool Group: Field Trips & Park Days. Are you a homeschooling family looking for a likeminded community? Are you wanting more consistent opportunities for your children to make friends? Are you seeking to connect with other moms and dads who are doing the same work as you in homeschooling your children? Join our TDFC community for weekly park meetups and monthly field trips! Grow in relationship with other homeschooling parents with monthly mom and dad fellowships.

The Details:

- There is no cost to join TDFC- the only costs will be for field trips and events that you want to participate in- for example; if there is a field trip to the zoo, you will be responsible to pay for you and your child to attend.

- Parents must fill out an application & background check to join.

- The structure of park days will be for open play, connection, and enjoying a packed lunch together. In the colder winter months park days may be subbed for "community days" where TDFC will gather inside the church building or other indoor areas for activities such as games, painting, lego building, crafts, free play, etc.

- There will be a schedule sent out for the semester with all park locations and field trips.

- Mom fellowships take place one Friday evening a month, and dad fellowships one Saturday morning a month. These fellowships are meant to be low key and relaxing; enjoying food and conversation.

Parental Involvement:

- Parents are expected to be present and on site with their children- both for park days and field trips. If there is a conflict that makes this impossible or difficult to meet, but you still want to participate in TDFC, please talk with Jessica Pepin.

- Parents are expected to respond to communications concerning TDFC. To show care, respect, and consideration for all families involved, we want to make sure we are all responding to questions, event details, and number counts needed to make our meetups a success.

- As the goal is to foster community and relationship within our homeschooling families; we hope that families can make meetups and parent fellowships on the regular. Sickness, emergencies, and personal reasons for missing events will happen to all of us; but outside of these reasons, we hope that families will see the value and joy that comes in attending consistently to grow in parent and child relationships.
