4/21 Pastor's Perspective

Apr 21, 2023    Pastor Marv Fisher

Unfortunately, for many people, the distribution of a family inheritance is the cause of much contention and even legal disputes. An inheritance should always be considered a gift, rather than a right. It is a blessing from those who have gone before us, who already ran the race and finished the course. Greed is at the root of so much evil, robbing the joy and darkening a thankful spirit. This Sunday, in Ephesians 1, we will ponder the most amazing spiritual inheritance, one promised of the Lord. We are passing through this world, where physical life is relatively short. But the days we do have here are tremendously valuable because this time will determine where we will spend the rest of eternity.

The Overflowing Cup, our building expansion, is moving right along, and the framing is complete. We will offer a walk- through after the service on Sunday. The name “Overflowing Cup” is literally the overflow of what is already happening here at CCF. The young adult and youth ministries can overflow into this space on Wednesday evenings. We can also overflow into this space on Sunday mornings through the live stream viewing. Other growing ministry opportunities here at CCF will be able to expand with this space. Praise God for each one of you who call this place home, and may we prepare for others that God may be bringing to be discipled! May we all join our hearts in humble submission to God, and continually open our hearts for the fullness of the Holy Spirit to flow through us individually, and as a church family.

Much love,

Pastor Marv
