9/2 Pastor’s Perspective

Dear Calvary Family,

Have you ever wondered why you were born? Who am I, really? What is the purpose for my life? Why do I wear cloths but the animals don't? Why are there different races of people? These questions are related to our origin, our foundation. I believe it is time to go back to the beginning, to the book of Genisis, and establish a foundation based on the eternal Word of God! We plan to start this study on Wednesday evening, September 14th. You can bring the whole family, we have classes for all ages and care for infants and toddlers. The adult class in the book of Genesis will also include a significant portion of time for corporate prayer. As the beautiful Fall season begins, I am really looking forward to share these evenings together, I hope you can join us!

This coming Sunday, Sept 4th, we will share a meal together. Bring a few dishes to share together, and take the time to enjoy extended fellowship around the table. We love to see all the new faces each week, and enjoy getting to know one another better.

Sat, September 17th is a big day for us! The outreach team will be at the Heart of VA Festival, and we have a men's breakfast at 8:30 AM, followed by a work day to organize our storage areas at the church. Please sign up for these events on our church app, or in the foyer.
