8/12 Pastor's Perspective

Aug 12, 2022    Pastor Marv Fisher

Dear Calvary family,

The love that God places within the heart of each person who asks, seeks and knocks, can be literally life changing. On Sunday we will be studying Luke 6:1-35. In verse 32 we read, "And if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same." May our hearts receive from our Heavenly Father, this amazing gift of love. It changes the motive of all that we do, and brings great joy to us and those whom we love! When extending this love, we are also promised a great reward in heaven, which is the greatest of all rewards. May God prepare all of our hearts for a fresh baptism of His Holy Spirit.

The fruit of a tree is in relation to the tree from which it comes. Galatians 5:22-23 describe the fruit of the Holy Spirit working in our lives, you will find this fruit to be both personal and relational! From the vine of the Spirit come forth, Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Would you join me in asking God for a heart that is ready for this radical change? Would you join me in seeking God to enable us to walk in the Spirit?

God continues, each week, to bring people to our services seeking after the things of God. May we all continue to minister in the fullness of the love of God to each one. And may the holy Word of God fall on good soil, soil that explodes with new life!

I look forward to our gathering together on Sunday!
